Postgraduate studies

The truth is that I don’t know about postgraduate programs in my area, Dance. In fact,

I have never heard of any kind of Art postgraduates. Maybe I am wrong, but I think that

there is not this type of further studies in the university in which I am. 

An obstacle if I would like to do a postgraduate in the future is that in dance

there are not so many places in which I could take a further education,

actually, even Bachelors in dance are scarce. Also, maybe I have to learn a new

language before or get any certification of an foreange language and additionally

probably I would have to try to get a loan or something like that.

If I wanted to follow my studies, I guess I would have to search for more

information and consider other countries. In formal studies of dance, it is kind of

difficult to find guidance about what you can do to build your way. It is almost

rumors data in which only you can know if you are inside the community.

By the way, for the moment, after finishing the undergraduate I would like to

get experiences, make my own investigations completely free, and be part of

another’s investigations, learn in the process and meet different people spontaneously.

There is nothing against formal studies but I really want to put in practice

the knowledge, find my mentors and partners in a more genuine way maybe.

Academic Challenges 2021

 

This year it isn’t the first in which I have had online classes because de pandemic situation, but this doesn’t mean that has been an easy year. More hours of synchronic classes were added and more difficult too. Also, as a dance student, find a place for do the classes is very difficult because I had to a good floor, a space emptier as I can find and or course a place in which in which it won't bother to my family, and I could stay focused.

The thing that I dislike the most is Internet connection because it is not under my control, some days It is almost impossible to take the class and it is very frustrating.

Although Home learning took with brought with it a lot of good things. First, I stayed more with my family, and share with them, I had more time to do thing that I never did because I was busy doing things outside. Also, I haven’t had to transport myself to take the classes and this, gave me the possibility to take advantage of my time in another things like cook and edit my videos.

Now, we are starting to have some face to face classes and It is a new challenge, because I haver never lived an university life before. It is very exiting at the same time. By other way, keep distance and follow the protocols it is not that easy, especially the use of face mask.

My dream job

I remember that when I was nearly of 10 years old, I was fan of Hanna Montana, and I wanted to be an actress and singer like she was in the serie, this was my dream job when I was a child. So, I did begin to take class of theater and I found dance again. I was not very well singer, and I like theater, but the classes were canceled. 

I saw movies and series and I imagined to me like the protagonist, looks very fun to me the possibility of “live” different worlds of fantasy and be part of adventures and interesting histories, play to be a different person with the challenge of interpret multiple emotions and personalities. Also, be a famous person sounded exciting, with a good salary, living in a beautiful house without money problems, traveling to other countries for job, festivals, and premieres. Famous people life seems fabulous, meeting other famous persons and going to parties, doing whatever they want and visiting wonderful places.

Now, I think in the privacy and calm that probably they do not have, famous people have to give up to a percent of control of their lives and I don not like this.

Nowadays, I am dedicating to dance and arts, I found love in creation’s power, and I am excited for learn and explore around arts, my new dream job is being a creator, and I am on it.

Technologies

 

I remember that I received my first personal cell phone when I was 6 years old, pretty simple, called “almeja”, only for calls and some games, really fun for me. From then, I always have a mobile with me, a little bit impressive or not? In resume, technology has been always part of my life. When I was a child, I saw so much TV, and now I think that I wasted my time in this but, maybe was necessary for now be more consciousness about it.

Now that I have a different relationship with technology, I use It more for looking inspiration in other places of the world, learn and create and show (share) my work, as an art student I am sure that art and technology are a good team. Also, I like this devices for catch and save memories in photos or videos, a big invention.

My favourite pieces of technology are my cell phone, laptop, and camera because I have multiple possibilities and applications. However, constantly I am trying to find a health balance because, I notice that consumes energy and time faster than other activities, social media and the content in internet is limitless as addictive.

I believe that we are able to have the control and use the technologies as tools and not be slaves of them.

Fun, Hard and White Weekend

In January of 2016 I went to visit my father's house in Germany, one of the weekends that I stay there, we went to Garmisch partenkirchen, a Germany city located nearly from the border with Austria. It is a famous place for skying and do snowboarding.

As you can imagine, there are high mountains, that in this period of the year, were dressed of white. Really beautiful to see.

My father and I arrived on Friday and stay until Sunday. Every day, we put our snow clothes and equipment, and we spend the day skying. I remember that in one of the times that we descended I almost fell in a dangerous part of the mountain on one side of the mountain, I was scared, I didn’t want to get up because I thought that could be worst, my father helped me, and we go ahead.

We ate sandwiches, fuits and snacks and we slept in a refuge not so far from there, we only have to take a bus.

For me, these three days stay in my memory with feelings of love, adrenaline and fun but also, I have to mention that once we had to back home, I couldn’t go down in the stairs of the subway because the pain in my legs! Definitely, I did a good exercise this weekend.

Exhausted!

Colombia, has everything that I love.

If I could travel to anywhere right now, without think it, I would say, COLOMBIA. How can just pictures and videos of this place, just catch my mind and make my eyes shine? wishing were there...

Colombia is a country in South America, with a historical and cultural richness that I can´t wait to know. Colombia it’s a Spanish-speaking nation and its climate is generally tropical, sounds perfect to me.

Colombia is famous for his coffee so, once there, I would like to taste the different flavors.

Another thing that I admire of this country is its dances; the rhythms, percussion, colors of the dresses and the joy with they dance and live the music. As a Contemporary dance student, I would like view and dance, learning from the people who live there. Some typical dances that I have read are “Bullerengue” and “La mazurka”

I don’t remember how neither when, I start to have interest of Colombia, I knew about this country before but just recently I begin to read more about it.

I would visit the towns like Salento, Jardin and Salamina where there is so much nature and vivid colonial architecture. Of course, also I would like to go to the beaches like Nenguaje Beach located in Tayrona Park.
